Clinic Policy

What to Expect on Your First Visit?

Your first visit to our clinic is designed as a meet-and-greet, where we establish a foundation for your healthcare. Here are some important expectations:

  • What Should I Bring?
If you are looking for a family physician, please bring all medications you are currently taking, including both prescription and over-the-counter drugs. This information is crucial for your physician to provide you with the best care.

  • What Happens During the Visit?
Your physician will ask detailed questions about your health history, conduct age-appropriate screenings, and may send you for necessary investigations. Please note that this visit may take longer than your regular appointments, as we aim to address your specific health needs thoroughly.

Cancellation Policy:

Why Is It Important to Notify Us?

Your time is precious to us! If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we encourage you to notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This helps us open the slot for other patients who require our services.

  • What Happens if I Don’t Notify You?
If you fail to notify us within the 24-hour timeframe or do not show up for your appointment, a cancellation fee will be charged. We appreciate your understanding in helping us serve all our patients effectively.

Understanding Uninsured Services:

What You Need to Know?

Certain services are not covered by Alberta Health Services. If you require specific forms or legal documentation, these services will involve additional time and effort from our clinic staff and physicians.

  • What Services Are Considered Uninsured?
While this list is not exhaustive, it includes services such as:

    • Completing medical forms for legal purposes
    • Insurance paperwork that requires physician verification
    • Other administrative tasks not covered by standard health insurance
  • Who Pays for Uninsured Services?
In some cases, insurance companies or legal offices may cover these costs. However, you may be responsible for payment in other instances. Please inquire during your visit if you have questions about potential charges.
